Working principle:

Since the refractive index of the fiber core is higher than that of the cladding, when the light hits the interface between the core and the cladding, as long as the incident angle is greater than the critical angle, the light will be totally reflected, and thus be bound in the fiber core for propagation, thus achieving effective transmission of the optical signal.
