Quartz optical fiber is an optical fiber made of high-purity silica as the main material. It transmits optical signals through the difference in refractive index between the core and the cladding. Its core features are low loss, high light transmittance, and high temperature resistance. It is widely used in communications, laser transmission, sensing and other fields.
PTIU quartz energy fiber is a step-index large core multimode fiber.
Structural composition
It adopts quartz core, fluorine-doped quartz cladding and polyimide coating structure. Among them, the quartz core is used to transmit light energy, the fluorine-doped quartz cladding allows light to be transmitted in the core through total reflection, and the polyimide coating provides protection for the optical fiber.
Performance characteristics
1. High temperature resistance: Due to the polyimide coating, the optical fiber can be used for a long time in a high temperature environment up to 350℃, and can adapt to some high temperature working scenes.
2. Good mechanical strength: The polyimide coating has high hardness and good toughness, which can effectively protect the optical fiber, making it not easy to break or other damage when it is subjected to a certain external force, and can ensure the structural integrity of the optical fiber and the stability of the transmission performance.
3. Good chemical stability: The polyimide coating is resistant to acid, alkali, and organic solvent corrosion, which can keep the optical fiber stable in a complex chemical environment and is not easily affected by the corrosion of chemical substances.
4. Large core transmission: As a large core multimode optical fiber, it is easy to couple light and can transmit high-power light energy. It is often used in situations where the transmission power requirement is high or the light source coupling is difficult.
Application field
It is mainly used in the field of photons. It usually transmits light energy in a single or bundled manner. It can be used in laser transmission, spectral analysis, laser medical treatment and other scenes that require the transmission of light energy.
Advantages compared with other optical fibers: Compared with some small core optical fibers, PTIU quartz energy optical fiber can transmit higher-power light and is relatively easy to couple. Compared with optical fibers not coated with polyimide coating, it has better high temperature resistance and chemical stability, can be used in harsher environments, and has a wider range of application scenarios.
