Laser Hair Removal Fiber Optic Transmission Solution | D80 & SMA905 High-Power Interface Series


This solution, independently developed by Dongguan Jinzhi Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd., provides a highly stable laser fiber optic transmission system for mainstream medical aesthetic laser hair removal devices (such as Splendor X, Deka, Candela, Cynosure, etc.).


The core of the solution uses D80 and SMA905 standard interfaces, matching multiple power levels and wavelengths (755nm / 810nm / 1064nm), achieving high energy transmission efficiency and low-loss output.

Suitable for: Medical aesthetic laser hair removal devices, skin beauty systems, photothermal therapy devices, energy calibration modules, etc.

I. What is Laser Hair Removal?

Laser is a focused energy source, and human skin is a relatively translucent structure. This energy can easily penetrate the skin surface and reach the hair root, the hair follicle. Because the hair follicle contains a large amount of melanin, a large amount of laser energy is preferentially absorbed and ultimately converted into heat energy, causing the hair follicle temperature to gradually rise, thereby damaging the hair follicle and rendering it unable to regenerate. Throughout the process, the skin is not damaged because its absorption rate of laser energy is relatively low or only a small amount. Sweat glands and hair follicles are independent entities; laser hair removal targets only the melanin in the hair follicle. Sweat glands do not contain melanin and therefore do not absorb laser energy.

IV.How to choose the appropriate hair removal fiber for laser hair removal machine?

(1)Determine the parameters of laser equipment

Laser wavelength: Different wavelengths are suitable for different skin types and hair colors.

755nm (Alexander laser): suitable for light skin and fine hair.

810nm (diode laser): suitable for most skin types, with strong versatility.

1064nm (Nd: YAG laser): Suitable for dark skin and coarse hair.

Laser power: High power equipment requires fiber optics that are resistant to high temperatures and have high stability.

Pulse width and frequency: Ensure that the fiber can support the pulse parameters of the equipment.

(2)Select fiber type

Quartz fiber: high transmittance, suitable for most hair removal lasers. Good flexibility and easy operation.

Sapphire fiber: resistant to high temperatures, suitable for high-power lasers. High hardness, suitable for precision operation.

(3) Determine the diameter of the optical fiber

Large diameter optical fiber (such as 600 μ m-2000 μ m): suitable for large-area hair removal with uniform energy distribution. The treatment speed is fast, but the precision is low.

Small diameter optical fiber (such as 300 μ m-400 μ m): suitable for delicate areas (such as the face, bikini line). Energy concentration, suitable for high-precision treatment.
